The Theosophical Society, founded in 1875, remains a small, international organization.  It's motto, "There is no religion higher than truth", is one translation of a Sanskrit phrase that can also be translated as "The highest goal in life is to discover and live by Truth". From its inception, the Society sought to provide a forum for a deep exploration of Truth as expressed in philosophy, science, and religion.  Based on the principle of one life inherent in all humanity, it encourages our individual search for truth in daily living and in our own interior work.  Members come from all religions or no religions. The usefulness of Interfaith work has been stressed from its beginning.

Linda Jo Pym is a third generation member of the Theosophical Society for which she has been an active worker in many ways for many years.
