- About Me:
- I am a trustee/Executive board member and director of programming at Camp Brotherhood. I am very interested in all aspects of Interfaith. The purpose of interfaith is to create Unity but NOT Uniformity among different faith traditions. Uniformity destroys the sacred "revealed forms" of different traditions. The purpose of Unity is to transcend the label of religions and to reawaken the conscience of humanity (fitrah) so that we live by our innate moral and ethical standards. This has been the message of all traditions throughout history.
Albert Einstien said, " Peace can not be achieved by force. It only comes through understanding". It is through dialogue, discussion and sharing that understanding is achieved and it is only then that a transaction among people happens. It is through this transaction that we find our humanity.
